Preset Modes
For optimum viewing of different kinds of content, EIZO’s
Fine Contrast function includes modes for office applications
(Text mode), video (Movie mode), graphics (Picture mode), web
browsing (sRGB mode), External, and user-defined settings
(Custom mode). Modes switch automatically with the bundled
ScreenManager Pro for LCD software, or manually with the press
of a button.
Color Space Emulation
Included in EIZO’s ScreenManager Pro for LCD utility
software, Color Space Emulation enables you to match your
monitor to the color characteristics of other CRT or LCD
monitors, or to other color spaces.This is useful when you are
using another monitor as the standard monitor in a workflow or
when you have different models in a multi-monitor setup.
(Software is compliant with Windows Vista/XP/2000 only.)
Color Vision Deficiency Simulation
To avoid creating inconveniences and even dangers for those
with color vision deficiency, care must be taken when choosing
color schemes for everyday items such as maps, road signs, web
sites, and power indicator lights. This monittor can instantly
simulate how still and moving images appear to people with color
vision deficiency, and do so much faster than software-based
tools that slow down with larger files.

Independent 6-Color Control
Extensive color control allows the precise adjustment of even
a single color in an image. You can independently adjust hue and
saturation for each primary (red, green, blue) and secondary
(cyan, magenta, yellow) color.

10-Bit Gamma Correction
This technology ensures smooth, accurate color tones by
converting the 8-bit PC data to 10-bit, assigning the ideal
gamma values, then returning the data to 8- bit format for
display.
14-Bit Color Processing
An EIZO ASIC (application specific integrated circuit)
provides 14-bit color processing capability for smooth, accurate
grayscale and color rendering even in darker tones, which are
typically difficult for LCD monitors to reproduce accurately.
Digital and Analog Connectivity
With dual DVI-I inputs, the L797-U can connect to computers
with digital or analog graphics board.
Placement Flexibility
The stand is height adjustable through an 82 mm range and
provides 40° tilt and 70° swivel so every user can easily set
the ideal position. It also pivots 90° for portrait mode
viewing.
