This product is designed with stacking 2 pieces of 4 ports HDBaseT main boards and using dual power supply units. The 12V PoC (Power over Cable) function can power the remote receivers (1~4 Ports), and users may connect the additional power supply unit when PoC feature is also required on the port 5~8. Apart from it, EVBM-1089L has easy scaler built-in for ALL UHD/FHD monitors EDID configuration.
The 4K HDMI HDBaseT Extender Transmitter Splitter unit provides comprehensive EDID management, EDID Auto Learning and compulsive EDID Copy function, to ensure that HDMI source is displayed at the optimal resolution and format without any compatibility issue.
Below are Rextron’s unique EDID configurations via the slide switch on the rear panel :
- EDID Mode 1 (Remote Inventory): allowing copy or learn EDID from Output Port 1
- EDID Mode 2 (Local Inventory): allowing copy or learn EDID from the local HDMI output
- EDID Mode 3: Default Setting of 1080p resolution
- EDID Mode 4: Default Setting of 4K 60Hz resolution
The HDCP slide
switch allows users to select 2 HDCP modes -
Auto mode allows HDCP 2.2 or HDCP 1.x content
pass-thru (Default setting), while 1.4 mode
allows HDCP 1.4 content to be licensed.

The IR extension function supports full frequency IR signal from 38KHz up to 56KHz. There’s an IR sensor window at the front panel, and at the rear panel the pigtail design 1.4m IR cable increases the distance between the sensor head and the IR port on the extender unit, therefore providing users a flexible and easy way in IR control system installation.
The Full-Duplex data communication with baud rate up to 152,000bps is available on the output Ports 1~4, and can be selected thru the slide switch at the rear panel (4 Way RS232 serial switch). The serial communication can be extended up to 70~100m via Receiver unit (depends on model) connected.
